Important COVID-19 Update

Dear Jumoke Academy Families, Employees, & Students,

Governor Lamont announced earlier today that all Connecticut schools will remain closed through the end of the 2019-2020 school year. Districts across the state will continue to be closed for in-person instruction and will continue with distance learning for the remainder of the school year. The Governor’s decision was made in the continued effort to slow the spread of COVID-19.

I know there will be a lot of questions and we will be in touch in the following days with further information, but I wanted to share this with you today. I encourage all of you to join me on this month’s “Monthly Minutes with Monroe” Zoom call to find out more information as we have it. Text “chat” to 484848 to receive Zoom login information.

Additionally, we have just learned of more resources available to Hartford residents. Specifically residents can dial 311 to gain information and express interest in financial assistance by way of gift cards and meal assistance.  Hartford residents can also access resources for transportation support to appointments related to COVID-19 testing.

This is a difficult time for many families so, today my thoughts are with you as we all continue to adjust to these challenges.

Sincerely,

Dr. Troy A. Monroe
